Mangoes At The Beach

If you are lucky enough to live at the beach (like I have for the past ten years!) you will be familiar with beach vendors walking along selling mangoes on a stick. ¿Escamocha o Gazpacho?

I love exploring a new city in México and seeing what kind of snacks they have.  The picture above is a fruit salad in a cup that we enjoyed in downtown Guadalajara.  Called either escamocha or gazpacho, the fruit is usually put in the cup and then crema, coconut, or chile powder is added on top.  You haven’t lived until you’ve tried it! My Favorite Street Food

Most people would probably think TACOS when they think of Mexican street food, but my favorite is cut up fruit!  In the picture above she is eating mango, watermelon, cucumber and jicama.  This is just about the perfect snack, in my opinion.
